Calypso was founded on the principal of caring for your pet as if they were our own. We view each pet as an individual regardless of their breed or temperament. Our approach to caring for your pet is based on respect. We do not believe that every pet is a reflection of their breed and/or upbringing and training. We forge a relationship with your pet based on information you provide to us as well as our own interaction with them.
As we approach each pet individually we believe the best practice for caring for them is through individualized care rather than a group setting. At times our human need to want our pet to “play” with others often overrides what is best and safest for them. At Calypso we want your pet to feel safe, confident and most of all have fun! We accomplish that goal through one on one interaction. Group activity and play often creates competition between dogs. Your pet may not feel comfortable in a group of dogs where others style of play may be different or misinterpreted, this can lead to a negative experience and in the worst case physical harm. We prefer to show your pet our undivided attention where there is no competition for affection, play and no concern on their part for status in the pack. Having one on one time with them we are also able to really get to know them and assess how they are experiencing their time with us.
Our amenities are geared towards enhancing their experience and can be tailored to their individual needs. We encourage you to tour our facility and let us show you how we have provided peace of mind to area pet owners since 1990.
Dog Boarding Accommodations
Standard Run
$48 per day
2nd dog in same run: additional $21 per day
Our Standard Run is great for the social butterfly! Guests are able to interact through sight, sound and smell with other guests, yet still have their own secure area that allows for them to feel safe and comfortable.

- Bedding is provided unless otherwise directed by owners
Senior Run
$69 per day
2nd dog in same run: additional $21 per day
Our exclusive Senior area is perfect for those older guests who enjoy a more peaceful experience.

Extra Large Run
$101 per day (includes 2 pets)

Our Extra Large Runs are spacious and perfect for your entire pack to stay together or for larger breeds that require room to spread out.

Luxury Suite

If your pet enjoys laying on the couch or bed watching TV, we have the perfect accommodation. Our Luxury Suites offers a quiet, 5-star vacation experience.

Group Play?

Calculation of Dog Boarding Rates
It is exactly like any human hotel stay. The day of check in is charged as a full day regardless of check in time. Check out time is 12 noon of the last day. Sunday we are only open for a short time in the evening therefore Sundays are always charged as a full day.
Our Sunday hours are for client convenience. If you choose to check out your pet on Sunday you will be charged for that day of boarding.
Your Dog's Medications
Your pet’s health is our first priority. We never charge for administering medications including insulin injections. We do require that any pet receiving insulin come in for a trial stay, where we can administer the insulin at least two times, prior to officially boarding. This is to ensure that your pet is comfortable with our staff administering the injection and to avoid anyone having to pick up their pets earlier than intended.
Please bring your pet’s medication in its original packaging, along with clear instructions from your veterinarian. Please remember to label your pet’s belongings including their first and last name.
Toys From Home
We welcome bringing a toy that your pet is particularly attached to however, please be sure to label the toy with their first and last name. We find that guests are always happier when they have something to do, so we encourage you to bring natural bones and chews for your pet. For the safety of our guests we cannot accept any raw hides. Should you forget to bring any toy or chew we have a variety of items in our retail area that are sure to make their tail wag.
Food From Home
Our maintenance kibble is included in the price of boarding however, we encourage you to bring your pet’s regular food from home. In order to ensure proper serving size we ask that you pre-package each meal in a zip lock baggies or container. For example, if your pet eats 1 cup of dry food twice a day you’d want to bring multiple baggies or containers each with 1 cup of food.
Required Maintenance Bath
We require any dog staying for four or more days to have a maintenance bath on the day of departure. This bath has your pet looking and smelling fresh and clean for their trip home. Often times, dogs that are meticulous at home are not the same way at the kennel. Their inner dog takes over and they may get soiled either from outside play time or just a general kennel smell that is unpleasant to owners.
Standard Food Provided
Our Signature Diet is a chicken-based maintenance kibble with warm water added. We also may add small amounts of chicken-based canned food to help those picky eaters. Nutritional information available upon request.
Required Vaccinations
For the health and safety of each of our guests we require that all dogs be vaccinated for:
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo
- Bordetella
